I've fixed the Item Id issue and repaired a fatal error in the script.

SMF SearchBot 1.0.1 BETA has been released here.

I think that this will resolve any issues found so far. The previous Mambot will need to be uninstalled and then install this new one.

doh - spoke too soon - it shows the search items perfectly but if clicking any of the forum links get this error:

An Error Has Occurred!
The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.

Thats when looged in as admin. I've played with all the settings & no joy with any config

That is very odd.

I'm using the same version on my test site and not having any trouble with the default settings.

I've tried it with and without SEO on the forum and Joomla. So the links don't seem to be the problem.

Perhapes the SMF1.1 RC3 uses different links than SMF1.1 RC2. I'll have to take a look at it later.

Sorry, I have to go for now but I'll try to fix this as soon as I can.

well it kinda works. url looks funny index.php?option=com_smf&amp;topic=24&amp;Itemid=34.msg4420 instead index.php?option=com_smf&amp;Itemid=34&amp;topic=24.msg4420 but it works. but not for unlogged user. have to be registered and logged in for search to return hits from forum.<br><br>Post edited by: jarri, at: 2006/11/13 15:24

SMF SearchBot 1.0.2 BETA Released!

Find it here.

Hoping that this eliminates the url errors which I thing was cause everyone's problem! Itemid is now in the correct position in the url and I hope that fixes the &quot; An Error Occured!&quot; message.

The registered users only being able to get search results is quite odd! I'm not having any trouble like that here.

What &quot;Authorization Type&quot; are you using? This setting is very much dependent on the way that you set your forum permissions. If your style of forum permissions is different thatn this setting, your search results will be greatly reduced! I suggest using the &quot;User Group ID&quot; (Default) setting unless you are sure of the end results.
