I am having trouble downloading this fix. When I move the cursor over the link I do not get a hand pointing, I get the text cursor. I tried in both IE and Firefox. I am very much in need of this fix. Thanks

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble downloading this module. I have checked the system and not found any problems with it. Were you logged in at the time that you tried to download the script?

Please let me know if you continue to have difficulties with this issue.

Thank you,
vujsa

I installed the module because I was having the problem mentioned in the very first post, and published it, and now get this error about 7 times before the downloads at the top of the page:
Warning: is_dir() [function.is-dir]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/patjk:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/patjk/public_html/administrator/components/com_docman/classes/DOCMAN_file.class.php on line 72

I then unpublished the module, and still get the same error I just mentioned.

I also did get this error where the module is at:
Warning: copy(/home/patjk/public_html/administrator/components/com_docman/docman.config.bak) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/patjk/public_html/modules/mod_docman_repair.php on line 92

I then did the CHMOD to 777 and that fixed that issue, but the 7 errors are still showing up.

Any ideas? Thanks

Thank you for your post concerning this issue. While it is odd that you got this error after you install the repair module, it isn't the cause of the problem.

It seems that DocMan is trying to use a function that isn't allowed on your server. I don have a couple of things that you should look at before we get too worried.

After you installed the module, published it, and loaded the page it was published on, did you return to your DocMan configuration to reconfigure your settings? Since your original configuration was lost, the default configuration supplied with the DocMan system originally was used which may account for the problems.

I hope this resolved your issues.

Thank you for the reply.

I didn't return and reconfigure the settings. I don't ever recall ever tweaking with the configuration when I originally installed Docman, so I'm not sure what the original settings were. Which settings in specific should I reconfigure?

The "Path for Storing Files" is set at this right now:
/home/patjk/public_html/dmdocuments
Docman documents are both in components/docman as well as administrator/components/docman. I'm not sure if this was the original setting, but this seems a little suspicious. I looked at all the other settings and nothing there seems to be related to the problem.

It is weird that this error is occurring, as I didn't do anything to Docman that would have made it not work. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

Hi,

I thought this will be the answer to my docman problem but seems like it isn't. It does delete my configurations though.

From one day to another my download, view etc. buttons disappeared. Have you seen this problem yet?
