Well, it looks like the website promotion is working.  Simple discussions in various forums about the website have generated a great deal of traffic.  Of course these discussions are only submitted in forums that allow such discussions and then in the appropriate forum categories.  Usually these are just request for forum members to review the website.  Not only has this generated interest in the website, it has helped in the developement of the website.  Often very critical reviews are the most useful since those point out the smallest and largest problems with the website.
Looks as though the the most popular resource is the Handy PHP Functions.  Not much of a surprise since there currently is only one Handy PHP Tutorial available and the link index is still in developement.  Once more tutorials and the link index are available, the website will be nearly 100% operational.
While the functions are most popular, the function build_input_field()is the most popular!  This makes the function the single most popular item. The next most popular itme thus far is the reformat_date() function which was recently submitted to The PHP Resource Index.  Getting listed in this index has been a big boost to the number of visitors.  Eventually, every resource here will be submitteed to The PHP Resource Index.  A similar tactic will be employed with other websites that serve as an index of web resources.
A new feature is currently being developed.  The function submission form will allow any registered member to submit an original function for consideration as a resources at Handy PHP!  The default content submission system is kind of difficult for new users to learn to use and makes formating resources uniformly very difficult.  A new form and review system is nearly finished which will seperate the main parts of a resource into various fields whaich will be stored in a seperate database.  Not only will this make the process of reviewing and formating a resource much easier for the staff, it will also ensure the the author has submitted all of the required information.  A similar form will be used for user submitted tutorials.
Having members submit their own original Handy PHP Resources, will add the final piece of the puzzle here.  After all, the whole point of the website is to share PHP resources with each other.  Looks like everything is slowly coming together here.  Feel free to contact us if you have any suggestions for the website.
