The Handy PHP Forum is currently being developed for the website. The existing template was quite poor so a new one is being designed. Unfortunately, the forum script doesn't use a templating system so the source code needs to be modified directly. The trick is to modify the scripts files in such a way that the forum can be modified with just the CSS in the future. Once the forum is up and running, a master template system may be developed for the forum. Something that will allow other developers to easily design templates for the forum script.
The forum should be up in the next day or two. It is a rather basic forum system and the topics will be limited to PHP and related programing information such as MySQL, HTML, XML, XHTML, CSS, etc... Basically, Any subject is allowed as long as it pertains to the use of PHP. Like outputting HTML using PHP.
Ideas and suggestions for the forums is always appreciated. There will be a forum category to discuss this website, its features, and content. Feel free to participate in the forums once they are available. There will be a number of rules that will be strictly enforced including but not limited to the following:
- No Spam! - No unsolicited posting of referral links or external links.
- No Junk! - No one line or very short posts or posts that are off topic or don't make sense. If you don't have something to say, then don't post!
- No Plagiarism! - No posting any content from anywhere else on or off of the Internet. If it isn't yours, don't post it!
