The ever increasing number of links to Handy PHP is the best means to aquire a better ranking. While a high ranking is an indiacation that the website is growing and mving in the right direction, it fails to take very important aspects into consideration. The biggest concern that is overlooked is end user satisfation. It is very difficult to determine why a visitor came to the website and nearly impossible to figure out if they got what they wanted. It is possible for website owners to track very important information which can provide limited insight as to what the user wanted but without asking the user, there isn't really a sure fire way to get the data needed. This leads us to the next problem. If you ask users to give an opinion or write a review, you generally get the most extreme cases. Most people won't bother with a review or feedback unless they are very happy or very unhappy. You rarely get a report like this: "I was looking for information on widgets but you gizmo information didn't really help!". Here at Handy PHP, we are developing a system to better track users needs and if needed, add resources to full the need. If you have any suggestions or insite into such a system, please feel free to post them in the Handy PHP Forums. Until a better method of rank websites is developed, Alexa will have to do. This is still a valuable tool for webmasters to help determine whether or not their website is growing or dying. Here is the current Alexa Top 10 list: Handy PHP would like to thank you for your continued support and feedback. |
