Today www.handyphp.com was launched as a PHP tutorial and information site. While still in developemant is is suggested that the resources offered here not be used as some may only be sample content for developement purposes. Handy PHP will offer an extensive library of custom made Handy PHP functions that simply make programing easier for PHP users. Additionally, tutorials and information will be added by both members and staff as time goes on.
The goal of Handy PHP is to share basic as well as advanced PHP programming information to a wide selection of users. Feeback is always welcome and suggestions for the improvement of the website will openly discussed and seriously considered. The idea is to form a community of PHP users willing to teach, learn and share the information that they possess. Over time additional features will be added to the website including an open forum for discussion and categorized links to additional resources including website that we may not agree with. Don't misunderstand the idea, we aren't setting out to start some free love open arms policy toward any PHP resource on the internet but rather believe that nearly everyone has some positive input to offer and that our visitors are intellegent enough to determine the good resouces from the bad.
This website was designed using an unspecified version of Joomla! which is a Content Management System (CMS) designed for ease of use and content sharing. Certain aspects of the program have been modified to best suit the needs of this website and it's security. Additionally, many options and add-ons have been applied to the system to better enable all of the features we thought the website should have. The website is currently hosted by a free web hosting company called AstaHost. AstaHost offers Free Professional Web Hosting for its active forum members. Simply earn hosting credits by posting in the forum and high quality hosting will be available to you. Up to 10 credits may be earned from any single post at AstaHost depending mostly on the size of the post and one credit is deducted each day that you are hosted. After 10 or 20 very good posts you may not have to post again for several weeks.
At this point in time Handy PHP will remain free to use and will attempt to stay that way as long as possible and simply rely on advertising income to support the website. The end goal here is actually make a little money doing something enjoyable so don't be surprised if pay to use features are added in the future. Additionally, a donation system will be set up to solicit income from the users here.
At the time of the writing of this article, many features are not available or active to all users. Please check back and feel free to offer suggestions and feedback. At this time the feedback system isn't set up but will arrive soon. Will try to get some type of feedback system set up soon. Perhapes just a temporary email address to handle everything...
