Actually, the developer of DocMan created a searchbot for DocMan:
DocMan Mambots

Handy PHP has actually implemented the SearchBot here:
Handy PHP - Search: "JoomlaBoard SearchBot" >> About 27 items down the list.

I'm not sure why they haven't listed the SearchBot at Joomla! Extensions.

Are you considering a searchbot for the DocMan component (I think you use it too here on the PHP Downloads)

It would be great if the DocMan search was integrated with the Joomla search in one single place.

1. Component DocMan v1.3 RC2
2. Search in document Name and Description
3. I'm using Joomla 1.0.11

Is it possible?

Handy PHP isn't about promoting our own resources, we are here to help people find the answer they need even it it ins't here. I got fed up when I was learning PHP by nobody ever answering questions I posted. Some times it was just a matter of pointing me to an existing resource but other times I needed something special but in either case wouldn't get an answer.

So I decided that if someone posted a question here and I couldn't answer it myself, that I would resaerch it and provide a link to a possible solution.

The Joomla Extensions offered here aren't supposed to be the main focus of the website, but they do help a lot of people and the traffic generated translated to money that can be used for more website features.

So, ask anything you like, I'm happy to anser it even if I have to send you to another website!
